CCPP Faculty Affiliate Olga Kamenchuk Featured on Stanislav Kucher’s Political Affairs Program

CCPP Faculty Affiliate Olga Kamenchuk, Associate Professor of Research Methodology and International Communication at Northwestern University, was recently interviewed (see below) by prominent Russian journalist, dissident, and opposition commentator Stanislav Kucher on his widely viewed YouTube program. Kucher is known for his outspoken criticism of the Kremlin, his incisive interviews, and his long-form political analysis, making his channel a significant platform for independent discussion of global political developments.

Speaking in Russian, Kamenchuk provided an in-depth analysis of the political preferences of the American electorate and the evolving landscape as both major parties prepare for the 2028 U.S. presidential election.

In the conversation, Kamenchuk examined how recent Democratic wins in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia have energized the party’s search for its next standard-bearer in a post-Trump political era. Drawing on her expertise in public opinion, political behavior, and comparative communication, she discussed how shifting demographic patterns, partisan realignment, and voter issue priorities may shape both Republican and Democratic strategies over the next several election cycles.

Kamenchuk and Kucher also explored broader questions about how Americans are preparing—politically and psychologically, for life after the Trump era, as well as the current events shaping the electorate’s mood in 2026 and beyond.

This interview highlights Kamenchuk’s ongoing contributions to public discourse on political communication, public opinion trends, and international perspectives on U.S. democracy, core themes of the Center for Communication & Public Policy’s (CCPP) research and outreach mission.
