CCPP partners on $1 million grant to combat the Global COVID-19 Infodemic

The Center for Communication and Public Policy is partnering with the Battelle and the Ohio State University on a project combat COVID-19 infodemic in real-time. The effort is sponsored by a $1 million grant from the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA). 

Erik Nisbet, Owen L. Coon Endowed Professor of Policy Analysis and Communication and Director of CCPP, said of the team, “There have been many efforts to track and mitigate misinformation, but this initiative is truly unique due to its combination of multiple approaches from network science, social media analytics, and computational linguistics, and an understanding of the psychology behind its spread and influence.” You learn more about this project through the official press release.
